I’m a senior at the University of Notre Dame studying journalism and film.
On this blog, I hope to combine those passions.
Originally from the Chicagoland area, I first grew interested in movies through the late, great Roger Ebert, whose writing and TV show inspired me (and many others) to pursue film criticism ourselves. That was more than a decade ago, and I’ve been writing about movies (mostly for myself) on various platforms ever since.
In lieu of an exhaustive list of my favorite films, I encourage you instead to follow me on Letterboxd. I can’t review everything I see, but since joining the site in 2017 I’ve made sure, at the very least, to rate what I watch. Sometimes with a blurb or two.
That being said, most every post on this blog was originally published in The Observer, Notre Dame’s daily student newspaper, where I previously served as the editor of the A&E section. You can read my work in its original form here.
And do consider giving me a follow! The button can be found at the bottom of this (and every) page.
So, happy reading! I’ll see you at the movies.
